About The Institute

Introduction

This college was started in August 1966 to provide teacher training to rural and down trodden section of the society. M.Ed course was started in 1978 to provide higher professional education mainly for in-service teachers. A new course B.Ed (Bal Vikas) integrated course was also started in 1989 to provide comprehensive training of teachers to Nursery, Primary and Secondary & Sr. Secondary Education in 1993. Now this college is providing teacher training to in-service teachers and research and extension work are also done by the faculty members of this institute along with B.Ed ,M.Ed & Ph.D courses.

Objective of the Institute

• To prepare Lokmanya Shikshak (Recognised by the Public) to meet the need of the community.

• To provide training to pre-service teachers about latest theoretical and practical aspects.

• To train such teachers who love country and its cultural heritage.

• To help the teachers to obtain national ideals of Indian education.

• To develop consciousness about problems of society & education.

• To develop competency and teaching skills among prospective teacher.

• To conduct research related to various problems of Indian education

• To organise orientation programmes & workshops for in-service teachers.
